Are you skiing SDH or S1 ?
I used one of these one year skiing S1:
http://www.masterlineusa.com/Shop-By- ... s/Deluxe-3-Event-Roller96

It was pretty good. It held a couple of pair of skis and a a lot of gear.
The only problem was the weight. 1st of all, the bag itself weighs a bit. And further, the bag is pretty big so it can get pretty damn heavy if you don't pack carefully.
It was only an issue when flying with airline baggage weight restrictions.

And the durability could have been better - it's made for water skis, much lighter than Speed Skis...

I've always wondered about fabricating/modifying a Sportube...

Some races are able to accommodate snowboards, but not many.
There was, I believe, one snowboarder in the Speed Master race at Verbier last week. : http://www.xspeedski.net/

World record is 201.907 kph - Darren Powell from Australia

Bon Eté a tous. (Good Summer, to all.)

Summer is fun, but I miss skiing - you too?

I was reflecting on this past season last night with a good friend. Talking about the skiing was good - but the best part was talking and telling stories about the people.

The KL community is a great one.
Many thanks to all those who helped me progress this season,
who help me with material/equipment, who coached me how to ski better, who welcomed me without question - and even sang Karaoke !

Best,

Doug

P.S. -- Is there any news to report following the workshops in June?

Thanks for the reply Vasek.
Doing well thanks.

Yes, I heard from Per . He is coordinating lodging for the FIS racers. He got us into the Mirabeau as well.

For those who have yet to book - I believe there is still space at Hotel Bristol.

Hello --
It is Doug Hall from the USA.
I need a great favor. I hope it is possible.
My new outer shell has been made,
but the inner helmet has not been received.

Is it possible for someone to bring a scott helmet for me to Salla ?
I will pay in whatever way is most appropriate.
Thank-you,
-- Doug

I have seen the FIS schedule. Does anyone know how soon we might see dates for the other non-FIS races?

I have read the notes regarding changes.
I realize many details are unknown.

Does anyone have a sense - are we talking minor or major changes to
the aero shells after the new inner helmet is designed?

Will there be a common need/opportunity to totally redesign
the aerodynamic helmet shell based on the new specifications?

All thoughts are welcomed.

Thanks,

-Doug

I am Doug from the US, new to KL, but committed to joining you all in Europe next season.
I'm wondering about helmet shapes.
What are the theories of different shapes?
I welcome any and all discussion on the topic !

Thank-you - Doug

Je me demande des formes de casque. Quels sont les théories de formes différentes ? J'accueille n'importe quel et toute discussion sur le sujet !

I am interested! Do you still have the helmet? I would need to ask you to mail it to the US. - Is it possible for you to do that? Perhaps you have sold it already, in Les Arc. If you still have it send me a message. Merci, Doug Hall

Hi Marc, Doug Hall here - We didn't meet properly, but we did cross paths in Sun Peaks last week - ah! I wish I'd asked you about gear while we were there! I am interested, trying to put together full gear (skis too) for next season. I'll try to call you tomorrow (or Wed) morning from the US (east coast). Cheers, Doug
